My funny little girl...

This is my daughter's 'funny face' --I just had to capture it before she  moves out of the phase!

Welcome Home Neil!

Not much needs to be said when you look at photos of a military homecoming--the photos tell the story.  For those who haven't experienced this, there are no words to describe all you feel in these moments of anticipation and culmination.  It almost makes the months and months apart worth it...almost.  This amazing family, the Rybergs, allowed me into their moment yesterday to capture on camera what they never want to forget.

Kayleigh is TWO!

 I had the opportunity to take these photos of a neighborhood frieind's little girl this week.  A-dorable.  She is such a little diva...her sunglasses and bracelet and all--too smart to fall for my normal looking and smiling at the camera tricks...  But the daisies were a big hit with this her  :)   

 Isn't this little face adorable?!  And those pigtails!  Too much...too much...

Erryn and I met when our babies were just newborns...and now they are TWO! How did this happen!?

Tim Burton inspired San Diego Photo Shootout

In the spirit of Halloween, I attended the San Diego Photog Shootout group's  "Tim Burton inspired Dia De Los Muertos Shootout" last weekend.  AMAZING time!  It was a dreary rainy day, but it only helped to set the dark mood for the shoot.  So fun to play with the lighting, posing, and edits to make photos a little creepy--something different!  The location was phenomenal, Hidden Palms is the most gorgeous estate I have ever seen in my life.  Despite all the gorgeous greenery and architecture, my fav were the photos in the meat locker (directly below) --so bizzare!  We used 'video lights' that I'd never used or even heard of before, very cool.  And on my wishlist now! 

 These shoots are so much fun to do--great practice with great people.  Everyone is so willing to help you learn.  A big shout out to all those who helped bring the day together from organizers to models to stylists and vendors.
